A simple starting point
Prepare your illustration for animation.
A JPG or PNG preview is enough to ask for a quote. These optional tips help if you are preparing a layered Photoshop file with your illustrator.
- Keep a layered copy. Separate elements that should move independently, such as hair, fabric, the character and the background. Name the layers clearly.
- Allow room for movement. Moving a character or the camera can reveal areas hidden in the still image. Keep any underlying artwork you already have; I can assess what else needs preparation.
- Describe the result you want. Mention the main movement, where you will use the animation and any deadline. If you are unsure, send the image and I can suggest an approach.

Can you animate my illustration from a JPG or PNG?
Yes, you can send a flat image for a quote. Depending on the motion, elements may need to be separated into layers and hidden areas prepared first. I check that work before confirming the price.
Do I need a layered PSD?
A layered Photoshop file can make preparation easier, especially for character animation. You do not need to upload a PSD to request a quote: send a preview and tell me whether separated layers are available.
How much does splash art animation cost?
Essential is typically €150–300 for camera movement and atmosphere, without complex character animation. Signature is typically €400–700 for subtle motion on one character and light effects. Complex rigs, extensive preparation or custom VFX may require a separate quote. Final scope and usage are confirmed in your free quote before you commit.
Can I use the animation for my brand or game?
Commercial work is quoted individually. Tell me where the animation will appear, the formats you need and your deadline. Usage is agreed in the proposal. You should own the artwork or have permission from its rights holder to commission an animation.
Can you animate game art assets for our studio?
Yes. I animate existing character illustrations, splash art and backgrounds with looping motion, parallax and visual effects. Share a preview, your intended use and your deadline. We agree on the preparation, animation scope and delivery formats before production.
Does the commission include a new illustration?
The service is animation of your existing artwork. Send the illustration you want to bring to life so I can assess the movement and preparation it needs.
How long will my project take?
Timing depends on the complexity of the animation and availability. Include your preferred deadline with your request so it can be checked before the project is confirmed.
